I recently just bought a new house and had saved money to decorate and update. West Elm has been one of my favorite places to shop, however, after my experience today, I will NEVER visit again. I walked into the store and shopped around for a good half hour . Every sales associate walked right by me without saying a word, not "hello" or "how are you", not "may I help you find anything?" Not a single word. I'm not one to require a sales associate to follow me around asking to help but instead of assisting I felt the sales associates were beyond pretentious, unprofessional and did more socializing with each other than doing their job, which is to help. I had every intention on spending money at West Elm but I gladly took my business to Crate and Barrel across the street where they were NOT to good for the money I was willing to spend. Please hire associates that actually do their job right or I'm sure everyone will happily take their business across the street.

I was told that my new dining room table would arrive in 3 to 4 weeks. After calling the store multiple time and being told that they have no means of tracking my order, my table finally arrived at about 6 weeks after the initial purchase. Today, when they delivered my table and chairs, the WRONG table was delivered. I called the store, only to learn that they could order the correct table and have it delivered in ANOTHER 2-4 weeks. The store don't know where MY table is. Don't waste your time, energy or money with West Elm!!!

After reading all the horrible review I feel like I should tell my side of the story. I got a coffee table 2 years ago and didn't realized we only got the top part. And it was chaotic bc we just moved so we didn't get to assembling the coffee table until last year. After finding out we only had the top, I called the store asking for the bottom part. The model was discontinued but fortunately they had one on display, so they just let us took the bottom part of the display home. They could've said sorry and there was nothing they could do about it.

Horrible, horrible customer service. The staff is rude. They do not care to make things right if and when they make mistakes. I had a horrible experience ordering furniture here and received no sympathy and no apologies. I will not be returning.

I've only had great experiences here at this store. We purchased several items for our new house and everyone is so helpful! You can pay for large items over the phone and pick them up in the loading area! Very easy!
